Except Suguru’s feeling more like the haggard, run-down victim of a wolf and Satoru’s anything but a Prince Charming.
“I think you might actually be a little too into playing vampire,” Suguru spits between labored breaths, his heartbeat hammering like a rabbit’s.
“Playing?” Satoru’s grin bares bright, white teeth. He tosses the heels at Suguru’s feet and continues stalking forward. “C’mon, you still think I’m playing pretend? Suguru, I’m just playing with my food.”
While walking home after some Halloween partying in Shibuya, Suguru encounters a stranger who is also in costume—as a vampire—and bites off a little more than he can chew.

The first thing Getou notices about the new guy is that he’s obnoxious. He’d swaggered in (yes, swaggered) and when nobody greeted him, he’d taken a seat beside Getou, who was closest to the door, to peer into his screen.
“Hi,” he says.
Getou turns to him slowly. He has sunglasses on inside the building, his uniform is definitely not standard, he’s ridiculously tall and unfortunately, ridiculously attractive. Enough that Getou blinks and leans back. It was like seeing a celebrity at Five Guys. Worse, Getou was seeing him at Dunder Mifflin.
“I’m the new sales guy.”
He grins and oh, dimples. Then, he ruins it by saying, “Nice bangs.”
I.e. they meet in an office! At a regular job! Like regular people!

A week later Megumi is sitting in a clinically white and sleekly modern office building in the heart of Tokyo. Jennifer is at his feet, alert, her leash held loosely in Megumi’s grasp. Yuji is sitting on his right, leg bouncing and clad in his “nicest pair of joggers”. He has Megumi’s other hand nearly crushed in his grip. The dog is alert, Yuji is a ball of nerves.
Megumi feels nothing.

‘Did he—’ Satoru cut himself off from asking if his protégé had won, recognising at the last second that it was probably inappropriate. The teacher must have misinterpreted his broken speech as concern for Megumi’s wellbeing, because Satoru was rewarded with the answer he was looking for anyway.
‘Megumi is fine,’ she sighed. ‘But three children required medical treatment, and I’m afraid to say one of them needs stitches.’
Satoru punched a celebratory fist at the curse frozen in place by Limitless — who didn’t seem to share in his elation at the news. ‘Damn. He’s what, eight?’
Or, after Megumi gets into a fight at school, Satoru decides to take him flying.

It is a strange fact that Megumi has slowly discovered over the course of the past several months, with Jujutsu Tech currently and seemingly run over with lost children that Itadori and a few others have brought to the grounds. It wasn’t that they were meaning to do it, but the missions in Tokyo have led to more than one child-rescuing side quest and nowhere for the little gremlins to go back home to.
