    He asks himself, why would Izuku want a girlfriend in the first place? What would make him want to date someone? What can some girl give him that Katsuki can’t?

    And then Katsuki figures it out: nothing.

    There’s nothing Izuku can get from a girlfriend that he couldn’t get from Katsuki. If Katsuki can just give him anything that a girlfriend would, there’d be no reason for him to go looking for those things anywhere else, right?
