Summary
Eddie Horniman is a military man. He’s seen death, he’s caused it, he’s nearly been taken by it a few times. When negotiations with some very dissatisfied clients goes awry, Eddie is abducted and tortured, only barely escaping with life. As the survival’s adrenaline still courses through his body, in his mind he has only one clear vision of what he desperately needs, or he might just die.

All the stereotypical plot devices that will lead Eddie and Susie right where they secretly most desire to be: in a bed together on a rainy night.
