Summary
Memories are a crucial thing to ghosts and spirits alike— it is proof that you have been alive in this world, and not some helpless shade of some human. He learns how important it is when he starts to forget minor things that he used to do in his old life, such as the logo of the gang he used to be in, or the name of the gang in which he had fought. He forgets a certain cat’s name, or Chifuyu’s eyes. It is what he fears the most; forgetting the most beautiful, impactful memories that had occurred in his short yet eventful life. However, it can’t be helped; his memories will start to shatter, fragment into pieces, and him becoming nothing but a impotent shade is inevitable.
As Baji's memory fades as a ghost, he forgets everything that has to do with his old life, even all of his secrets, especially one he had been keeping to himself for a long time.
or; Keisuke learns what he had wanted to tell Chifuyu all those years ago in the wrong place and time.
