"In case you didn't know," MC speaks after a while, forming a scoopful of bubbles into a beard on their face. "I can wash my own hair. Crazy, I know right?"
"Oh," Casper sighs dramatically and rolls his eyes. "Can you really? Because using the cheapest shampoo you could find from the supermarket is not washing your own hair."
"It gets the job done."
"Clearly not if your ends are splitting like a tree branch."
"Ouch."
A list of observations MC has made about Casper now that they live together.

A limited edition new drink is added to the menu. It's a cup of whipped cream, pure corn syrup and artificial caramel sauce. Surely, anyone with more than two functioning brain cells would know not to order it, right?
Apparently not MC.

When Sydney says she got you a surprise, you’re expecting a bouquet of flowers or even a dirty photo of herself like she’s given you before—not to be pulled into the changing room in the library and pushed to your knees.

Summary
It’s funny, the way you can see past the cracks in Ren’s mask now. The distant stare or curled lip that once would have been so easy to miss is now as clear as anything to you. Moments where your hands are intertwined as you walk the streets of Corland Bay feel almost alien now that you can pinpoint when his hands will tighten over yours as a passerby stares just a second too long.
Maybe it’s meant to be a warning sign. Like the twitch of a rabbit’s ear as the wolf nears, the adrenaline associated with being....hunted.
