Summary
Not long ago still a happy family of five, the twins Saewron and Orthorin lose their father and older brother Inean to the invasion of the Burning Legion. During their brother's funeral they learn strange things from the guests. Following these clues, they end up in the Telogrus Rift just as the Nether Prince Durzaan attacks. The twins, who have been transformed into void elves and are now members of the Alliance, must reinvent themselves, made all the more difficult by the death of their mother, the whispers of the Void and their estrangement from each other.
Meanwhile, at the funeral of the fallen Warchief Vol'jin, Levaindil has encountered a ghost from the past: a friend she thought dead after he left Quel'Thalas with the Sunfury returns, but changed by his choices in the past. Is there anything left of her former friend behind the horns and blindfold? Answering this question becomes even more pressing when it's revealed that the Illidari is loyal to Warchief Sylvanas, while Levaindil soon realizes that she feels the need to support the revolutionaries instead.
After the Fourth War, Inean, whom his brothers thought lost forever, is raised from the dead by the voice of the Lich King...

Summary
Since their return to Azeroth from the Shadowlands, Orthorin Dawncaller and his army company are assisting the Night Watch in Duskwood with keeping the undead in check, but today the captain and some of his soldiers have yet another task. Thanks to his night elf girlfriend, Orthorin is allowed to witness the night elf gathering in Nordrassil following Sylvanas' trial in Oribos, where Tyrande Whisperwind will anounce its outcome to her people, where he also learns a lot about night elf culture. Not everyone is happy with the news the High Priestess of Elune brings her people and in the aftermath of the gathering there is a lot to talk about for the void elf and his night elf companions, reflecting on the meaning of vengeance and renewal, the importance of Elune to the kaldorei as well as the fate of the Banshee Queen and the rest of her family.
