Summary
During a hot summer at the Xavier Institute, Peter wakes up and spends the day as he normally does: prepping the school for the return of the students, spending quality time with his teammates, delaying telling Erik that they’re related, and going on a mission to rescue mutants from an experimental government facility. Unlike any other day however, he makes an error in judgment that results in him dying a horrible death.
The next morning, he wakes up to find that none of that has happened, and he’s reliving the very same day all over again.
And again.

Should she turn back? Should she let one of the teachers know there were intruders in the Danger Room? Or maybe she should keep going, gather intel and then report back to the Professor, just like a real X-Man would.
Yeah, that was a great idea!
At least that’s what she told herself as she reached the Danger Room vent and peered through the grates of the cover, blinking back her surprise when she spotted a head of familiar silver hair. There was only one mutant in the entire school with natural metallic hair like that: Mr Maximoff, every student’s favourite gym teacher.
“-God, pops, we’ve had this conversation a thousand times before,” Mr Maximoff sighed as he scrubbed at the lenses of his iconic goggles with the edge of his shirt.
“We shall have it a thousand times more if it means you might reconsider.”

Or, Kitty is just trying to read her book in peace when she stumbles upon an argument between her gym teacher Mr Maximoff and his father, the infamous Magneto. Turns out the students aren"t the only ones who miss Mr Maximoff when he"s gone.

He"s gonna pick this particular mutant all by himself. It"s the boy who help him out of the Pentagon, a young man who showed an incredible gift and is now wasting it by keep on living the same old pathetic little life. He surely can be useful to the cause, once he learns discipline and stops being too cocky for his own good.
(aka the story of how Erik gets reunited with his children, because I was not happy with the lack of Wanda at all)
