Professor Emmrich Volkarin is lonely. His usual company, his son Manfred, is away on tour with his band and not due back any time soon, and now Emmrich has no choice but to be alone with himself as he rattles around the balmy city of Treviso. He’s uninterested in romance, having sworn off love after watching his father lose his mother. He has his son, there’s no need to ever tie his heart to another person.
Meanwhile, Rook Mercar is looking for a patient, diligent lover who doesn’t mind him setting the pace on their no-strings-attached relationship. He doesn’t want love, he wants help getting over his own issues. In essence, he wants a pair of training wheels on his journey of the intimate arts.
A friends-with-benefits arrangement might be the exact solution to both of their problems. Or the beginning of the end of their self-imposed forsaking of the heart.
