Jimmy fidgets with his hands as he walks up to his roommate, who is just chilling, sitting in their bed, a book in hand (Jimmy knows it is a trashy romance novel. The blazeborn has love for them and borrows them from the library on campus constantly.).
The blaze hybrid lowers the book from his face and looks at Jimmy, “hey, something up Jim?”
Jimmy takes a deep breath.
He needs this. His cousin Grian is off campus, and out of state doing some intern field trip with his class.
The canary hybrid can practically feel every feather out of alignment, and bits of debris in between his feathers.
He can reach his primary feathers, but he has trouble with his secondaries, the feathers closer to the middle of his back, and the base of his wings.
Jimmy’s wings twitch behind himself, he exhales and speaks, “do you- could you- can you please help me preen?”
or, Jimmy needs help preening his wings, so he asks his roommate
