UPDATE: I’m moving into my dorm for college soon, so ch.4 won’t be posted until Tuesday
Mass Effect modern AU centered around our favorite biotic boy Kaidan Alenko. In the AU, BAaT is essentially a special needs school, and 'biotic' is a colloquial term for a neurodivergent person. Also everyone is a human bc modern AU but some alien features carry over ig, mostly represented by body type. Also, besides Vyrnnus and Harkin (if you actually like them then sorry ig) (and to an extent Kaidan's mom), every other character i took from canon is for the most part a good person.
Was I inspired to write this genre of fic by DizzyBlackRaven's ME AU fics? yeah
Is any of the plot stolen? nothis is partly a personal trauma fic, but i have not necessarily experienced every single bad thing i write about so keep that in mind
also the noncon and dubcon shit is not intended to be hot, but the actual tagged ship is entirely consensual so ye

Summary
Follows Kallus as the very foundations of his life, and his most precious relationships are twisted and poisoned by his continued loyalty to the Empire. He finds it more and more difficult to silence the still small voice that wants him to question, to doubt but to go from blind loyalty to betrayal is a journey that is neither easy nor quick.
Kallus also struggles with imposter syndrome as he negotiates the whirlpools of Coruscant's high society. Tries to square his oath to root out corruption and treason while also needing to turn a blind eye to the elegant cesspool in which many of Coruscant's elites swim.
He tries to protect his half brother while still staying true to what drove him to become an ISB agent in the first place -- to see justice done and peace restored to a shattered galaxy, political system and economy.
