The Fulcrum had been abandoned for far too long. Sealed against outsiders, very few could see the state of Destruction's realm, but it was the only realm that didn't require a guide. At least, that's what everyone thought.
Except things in the human world were not moving as they should. Destruction became meaningless as more and more fell to ruin, and the creations it was meant to lead to never came to fruition. Three centuries passed, and then Destiny's Book revealed it was time for a new Endless to ascend and take up the Prodigal's abandoned role.
