“I do not recall telling you my name.” Viktor stated matter-of-factly. “Yet you know it. Have we met?” Yes. Many times. Practically lived together inside their lab, but he couldn’t tell Viktor that. No, this Viktor had no idea who Jayce really was, and he intended on keeping it that way.
Jayce stumbled on his own thoughts trying to find an answer. Shit. Viktor is right, he wasn’t supposed to tell Jayce his name until later in his apartment. Damn it. “Uh—“ he stalled as he tried to think of a lie. “H-Heimerdinger had mentioned you once. You’re his assistant, right? Snarky Undercity kid with an accent? Not many other people here who fit that description.”

After the Hexcore collapsed, Jayce gets sent back to where it all started, the day he met Viktor, but Viktor seems to have no recollection of him. What happens when Jayce gets another chance, knowing what he knows now.
My take on Season 2 Jayce with Season 1 Viktor until Viktor eventually remembers everything and they live happily ever after because I refuse to give these two any more sad endings!
No idea how many chapters this will have, we're just gonna roll with it until the dopamine stops.

So when Viktor realizes he wants Jayce, the difference in their stations is entirely irrelevant. He's never wasted time in going after what he wants.

Summary
Through a strength he never knew he possessed, Jayce drags the pieces of his fractured mind back into cohesion and builds a fortress out of memories. He relives old conversations over and over, preserving his sanity through Viktor's voice and better times with his partner. He doesn't know how he'll escape. He only knows that he has to try.
Then Viktor breaks the script.
OR, Jayce isn't corrupted by the Arcane. Viktor is determined to bring him home.

Summary
Viktor thought the last thing he would know was the feeling of Jayce's hands cupping his neck, holding him close as they sacrificed themselves to fix Viktor's mistakes. He was not expecting to wake up in the past.

When Mel Medarda realizes that she's completely ignored Viktor's potential as a scientist, as an academic, she quickly seeks to remedy that. He may not be Jayce Talis, but he has his own brain, and he seems to be far more useful than most think. She's a practical woman, after all- it would be useful to have another genius on her side.
And when she realizes Viktor is also in love with Jayce Talis, and Jayce loves them both? She's still practical, after all-- she sees an opportunity.
(Or, Mel and Viktor are more similar than one might think. That applies to who they love, but it applies to how they love too.)
