Summary
After learning the truth and leaving Armand, Louis dies with a vicious smile on his face at the hands of vampires come to kill him for the interview.
He wakes up and the year is 1522 in Kashmir, India. 16 years after Armand's human birth. Louis doesn't know what the fuck this is but he had no intention of seeking out his ex. He had every intention of finding a way home.
But... when faced with the dilapidated state that was Armand at this age in this fucking brothel... he can't help but get involved.
Adjacent idea to Can't Learn to Tell the Truth Until You Learn to Lie. Not in the same world but same basic premise but with Louis going back in time instead of Armand.

“Yeah I’m fine. It’s Armand…something is wrong with him.”
“Many things are wrong with him, my friend.”
Even if his friend tried to he couldn’t keep the malice oozing out of his thoughts straight into Daniel's brain.“He started talking to me in Italian. I don’t think he knows where he is right now, or who I am. He thinks I’m his new owner.”
There was a pause and for a moment he believed that his friend had cut the connection and abandoned him.“Oh… that means you’ve met Amadeo.”
