Svarog took a few steps towards him, coming to rest in front of the window Boothill was sat at. He could see the other machine's reflection in the frosted over window, the pair staring out at Clara, who had finished whatever she was doing with the little robot and was now entertaining herself chasing it around the snowy yard, its stumpy little legs struggling to outpace her.
“I have run dozens of calculations in my systems, over and over again trying to find the reasons for your staying, yet none of the conclusions I had drawn seemed accurate,” Svarog continued. “In the days you have remained here, you have shown no interest in doing anything to bring harm to any of the residents, nor steal or extort money from them. You have shown little interest in anything, in fact.”

Boothills gaze remained trained on Clara.
“You already know the answer, don’t you,” it wasn’t a question. Boothill knew full well that the other was aware of why he chose to stay as long as he had, when he’d normally have long since moved on by now.
