Summary
At the age of 23 Sakura falls into a friends-with-benefits relationship with Kakashi, trying to forget the horrors of war, relieving stress, finding solace in one another with casual sex, no stings attached.
When Sakura makes a discovery that is about to change her life forever she hides from him - one might say for too long.
------“I'm sorry” he tells her in a rush, black eyes scanning her face, looking for signs of unease, “It was a long, long day, and I know we agreed that once one of us quits this we just move on but-” his breath hits her neck, his hands tenderly grab her waist - and then he stops.
He pulls back and confusion takes over his face. She knows that he is too well acquainted with the flat of her stomach to miss the difference, even if it’s just a bulge.
In the dim glow her living room lamp casts through the kitchen door she can witness the wheels turn in his head at light speed.
If this moment wasn’t so nerve wrecking she'd laugh at the look on his face.
