It happens slowly. So slowly that Charles doesn't even notice at first. That bubbly feeling he gets when Edwin’s excited over a book- that's just the deepening of their friendship, right? The shared joy you feel with someone you care about. And the comfort he feels when he spots Edwin gazing at him- who wouldn't want to be loved like that? Can he help it if sometimes he basks in that gaze, lingering in it until the warmth spreads deep into whatever part of him passes for bones.
...In which Charles realises his feelings for Edwin are not as platonic as he thought they were, panics, and slowly figures out what he wants to do about it.

A Nightmare Before Christmas au with our shapeshifting serpent Crowley doing his best as Halloween Town's Pumpkin King, and Aziraphale - a patchwork being brought to life by the Angels who live just North of town.
The ratings for fics can vary wildly with the sort of casual macabre elements of the film and the swearing and alcohol abuse present in the series/book, as well as contain some very explicit sexual content. Please mind the tags and feel free to skip fics if they don't seem up your alley or to contact one of us if you would like clarification.
And yes most of the fics are tagged with "demisexual". We wrote both Aziraphale and Crowley that way. People/characters on the Ace spectrum can and do have loving and fulfilling sex lives and deserve to be represented.
