In Episode 2.8 Ricky shoots at Izzy, but Ed steps in to take the bullet. He dies asking Stede and Izzy to keep an eye on each other, and they are left picking up the pieces now that the centre of both of their universes is suddenly gone. It wasn't meant to be like this. But life doesn't always care about 'meant to be'.
This is a story about love after love and joy after grief and what you might find after losing your soulmate. -

Extract from Chapter 15:
He couldn’t breathe. It felt like the air got lost somewhere on the way to his lungs without reaching them. He was drowning with not a drop of water around. He couldn’t breathe! Some small, detached part of his brain weighed the mercy of simply fainting against the indignity of it.
He was the Queen’s Man; he had to meet his death with some level of dignity. But how much dignity was there in being tied and slaughtered like an animal for the entertainment of a crowd?

This fic is a bit different in many ways and takes a little while to get to the first big dramatic event, but we're there now, and I've been led to believe it was worth it. ;)
In short, Brimsley nearly loses his head because of some evil schemes and a very unfortunate series of circumstances. Enter a literal prince to whisk him away.
Featuring:
Gay boys in love but it may not always be Brimsley and Reynolds
George and Reynolds having a heartbreaking platonic bond
Charlotte giving a damn about Brimsley
A sickly crippled princess getting a chance at happiness
A near-beheading because - drama! -

Summary
Come back to me! the voice says. Gentle, choked up, like he cares. But it’s all backwards.
You’re the one who left, Ed wants to say. You’re not here, there’s nothing for me to come back to.
But the voice is so insistent, and he feels fingers brushing his, and when he finally can’t resist the temptation and opens his eyes…
Stede is there. Stede is there!
Ed doesn’t know how, and he is still not sure this is real, but he grips the hand in his with all the little strength he has. He tries to say something, but his voice isn’t obeying him. All he manages is an incoherent whine. It doesn’t matter, though, because Stede doesn’t disappear, not even when Ed is forced to blink.
It’s real, Ed realises with utter shock. It’s real. He’s back, and Stede’s back, but…
God, there are no words for the absolute mess Ed has made! Stede is going to hate him!OR
Ed comes back from the gravy basket and actually makes amends. Featuring dogs, tattoos, moonlight kisses and swimming lessons, among other things.

The writers wrote what the writers wrote, but I was really not a fan of how the aftermath of the Kraken Era was handled so I wrote my own and then made it absurdly sweet. -

Summary
...because everyone has them, and they make each day tragically, hilariously, hopefully unique.
Aziraphale/Crowley. 50 prompts, 50 segments, ranging from tiny drabbles to much longer, about our favourite ineffable duo falling in love (with significant drama on the way). There is a cohesive story running through this, but not all the little segments carry any plot, some of them are just mindless fluff, humour or angst.
Full list of prompts inside in the Chapter 1 note!
This is oooooooooold, y'all. I wrote it back in 2009, LONG before the Amazon show existed, I've just only now decided to repost it on AO3. You COULD go and look for it elsewhere, but... don't. This version will be mildly better edited and it's more fun to read it in instalments. :D
I've tried to tone down the diabetes-inducing sugar and melodrama in places, but it's still appropriately cringey. :D Keep in mind that, while a lot of it will probably still fit with the show, certain things will not, especially with Season 2. However, if you haven't read the book or don't remember it, just consider this a slightly alternate universe. The good news? The whole thing is written, so there's no danger of it being abandoned halfway through. :) -

Dean goes to Stanford with Sam. Adventures and shenanigans ensue. A tale of love, life, family, brotherhood, monsters and, occasionally, even academia.
