Summary
“I miss you,” Cody choked out desperately trying to hold the sobs inside that were rocking his body for the effort it took him. “By the Force, I miss you. I still find myself hoping that I will see you when I return to Coruscant. I still hope that this is all a hoax and that all will be well.”
He could not fathom a universe in which Obi-Wan Kenobi did not exist and yet he was sitting inside the debris and ashes of this reality.

Summary
Ben had imagined the day over and over again. He had played every scenario through:
Dying at Cody's hands, finally being shot down to clash against the bottom of a Canyon, having him fall before him on his knees with apologies and declarations of love, meeting him again by accident at the marketplace and being kidnapped into a dark alleyway to kiss these lost years away.Cody ended up on the wrong end of his sabre more often than not when he thought too hard about it, impaled as Satine had once been by the Darksabre.
He had dreamed up so many nightmares, yet he was helpless now as the real deal was right in front of him and everything was so much worse than he had anticipated.

Summary
Dark ears sticking out from gilded plates protecting the large stallion’s head came to view first. A golden circlet, made up of suns spreading their rays outward and intertwining with each other, came into view next.
His breath hitched as he took in the sight of his wife, bruises on her face and unruly tight locks falling from the strict updo she had to force her hair into to be able to wear her helmet correctly.
But Cody was alive.A battle snarl was still edged onto her face, her dark blue coat was hanging from the claps keeping it pinned to her pauldrons in pieces and deep dents marred the surface of her heavy plate armour, he could see them on the gilded details framing blackened steel.
Swallowing he stepped forward and rushed down the steps to the courtyard to close the distance between them. Amber eyes caught his lighter ones, and a wolfish grin formed on her face showing off the lovely dimples Obi-Wan had fallen in love with years ago.

Summary
The General had laughed at him, freely. Cody had found himself looking up at this man and thinking he looked good when laughing. When there were small crinkles around his eyes and wrinkles on his cheeks from smiling so hard he showed his teeth.
And he seems to have huffed then, seemed to have rolled his eyes and quipped back a response about how he did not get paid enough of his overtime to buy himself some fancy supplies.
Not that they had limited work hours like the nat-born soldiers and staff, not truly anyway, nor did they ever get paid. Fancy pencils and a leather-bound book with real paper pages had been far outside his reach.
That was until one of them appeared on his desk, bound in reddish-brown leather with his name engraved in the binding in golden slanted letters. It also came with a small pouch filled with all kinds of supplies. Before that day he had not known there were so many different kinds of pencils, he had not known people used charcoal to make art.
But he got to experimenting, he was creative after all.

Summary
Cody’s mind blanked. It was true that he hadn’t gotten over the experience of his first fuck with the Sith not that long ago--he could still hear the noises Obi-Wan made as he bent him over his desk, feel that milky pale skin under his hands. But he never thought he’d get the chance to do it again; and here he was, offering the chance to him on a silver platter.
The hand on his shoulder squeezed it, knocking him out of his thoughts. He looked back at Obi-Wan, his eyebrow raised in waiting. Then he smirked, grabbed the hand on his shoulder, and spun Obi-Wan around, pressing his front to the arm of the lounge.
Obi-Wan gasped as he was bodily pressed against the lounge. Cody didn’t miss the way his pale skin flushed pink as Cody manhandled him into place.

Summary
There was still meaning beyond the Jedi, he had found. The Force still ran hot and vivid beyond the strict pathways the Jedi had declared to be the only ones true.
He had discovered meaning even after he had relented his blue blade and turned his back on the Order, to find a different calling. With this one decision he had learned what freedom felt like. In his departure he had shaken off his invisible shackles and exchanged them for handcuffs. But this time he knew of their existence and he knew of their purpose.
Still, there remained people interested in him learning his own path, questioning the teachings his world had once been built upon. He strived to be more than a peacekeeper, but most importantly, different than a Jedi. These parties invested in him, higher than he had ever dared to hope.
On his path he had also found, and here he could never hold his smile back, a cheeky, mischievous and strikingly handsome Mandalorian who had enough audacity in him to fill the Senate and no qualms about stealing his prize.
