Steve was spiraling. He couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t eat, he could barely even function. Every time he closed his eyes he saw Eddie’s bloody figure, his eyes empty and glazed over. All he wanted was to go back, to see Eddie’s smile one more time. But he couldn’t.

Nancy thought she had her entire life figured out in sophomore year. Finish high school, go to college somewhere far away, meet her husband, and settle down with a job. And then Barb disappeared, she met Jonathan, had to fight off a creature from another dimension, expose the government for Barb’s death, and a whole bunch of other bullshit. She didn’t even want to talk about the mind-flayer and the Hawkins post.

Summary

Tony plans to hide away from everyone in his makeshift workshop until the coast is clear and he’s safe to go home. No one would care to spend any time with the reclusive, arrogant billionaire anyways, right? Iron Man is the one everyone wants around.
Bucky Barnes, on his own journey to reclaim his life and identity, seems to disagree with that sentiment.

“Come on, Steve! Lucas can’t play tonight, and Eddie said we need a substitute.” Dustin was following Steve around the Family Video and pleading with him while he tried to restock the shelves.
Steve sighed. “I already told you, Henderson. I have a date tonight, and I really don’t want to cancel.” He continued pushing the cart around the store, picking up tapes and putting them back in their rightful places.
Robin was watching it all while shoving chips into her mouth, not bothering to step in, that traitor.

When Dustin pleads with Steve to be Lucas's substitute for the Hellfire game, he finds himself unable to say no, leading to the realization that the Eddie he had been so jealous of was actually Eddie Munson. And he had only gotten hotter since Steve had graduated.
