    Summary

After the battle at the Northern Water Tribe, Sokka is captured by Zhao.

It's not incredibly ideal, however, he reckoned he could escape if given the right motivation. Most of which is provided by his cellmate, Prince Zuko, the boy they've been fearing for months. The Fire Prince who has spent the last few months of Sokka's life miserable, trying to keep him, his sister and the all-powerful twelve year old boy alive. It's his rotten luck to be locked up with Zuko, he's only going to foil his plans wherever they go.

At least, that's what Sokka thought.

The thing about war is, the smoke rises so high, so thick, things aren't as clear as they once were. Sokka believed all Fire Nation was evil, that it was only capable to destroy. All he saw when he looked at the Fire Nation was the fire in their eyes. But what could possibly happen when he starts to feel the fire in the heart of one, golden-eyed boy, who is more than he appears?

Sokka's got a lot of learning to do, as does Zuko. Slowly, they're finding that as long as they're together, they might be able to take on anything.

    Summary

Title from Strawberry Wine - Noah Kahan.

Hakoda is a good Chief. He prides himself in his connection with his people, and he prides himself in his morals. When a sick firebender crawls onto his boat, Hakoda is faced with choosing between the two. Doing the right thing and protecting his people, both those in his crew and those who he had to leave behind, and his morals that scream killing a child, no matter their loyalties, is wrong. Especially a sick, terrified one.

Fever ridden, in pain and confused, Zuko escapes his ship a few short days after he is first exiled and finds himself on Hakoda's ship. Struggling between his loyalty to his nation, his father, and the conflicting stories from the members of the crew, Zuko is faced with a very different path, and destiny, to the one he had always envisioned for himself.

    Summary

The throne room holds a kind of gravity to it, like the Southern Air Temple, like Hama’s home. It’s seen the destruction of generations, of cultures, of people and property and locations and hope.
And now, the throne sits, bare and waiting for a person who does not exist. Uncle Iroh cannot take the throne without challenging Ozai as he was formally abdicated months ago. Ozai is too weak to fight. His challenge to the throne will have to wait, but he also has no living relatives, no sons or daughters or step-children to continue the royal line. He’s too old to produce children. Sokka doesn’t know whether Uncle Iroh will ascend to the throne. He doesn’t know if he respects this choice, or if it’s a weakness.
The throne is bare. There’s a very real possibility that this is how it will remain.
