    The man catches Stede wrist and grins. His teeth elongate, canines slipping from his gum line and crowding his mouth. He closes his eyes and when he opens them again his pupils are blown black to the very edges, not a trace of white, reflecting Stede's startled expression back at him.

    Canon Divergence where Ricky never shot Izzy, and Stede stayed on the Revenge to Captain with Izzy as (one) of his First Mates. Sort of a character study, where I wanted to put Izzy in Situations and it rather grew a life of its own. This fic is all about hurt/comfort tropes and bonding with Izzy, the crew, Stede, and Ed.
