Alastor hummed, turning his gaze about the courtyard. “Yes, it really is something to see two souls dedicate themselves to each other with such abandon. Quite romantic, don’t you think?”
At his meaningful look, it finally clicked in Angel’s mind and he groaned. “Oh, here we go.”

Angel attends Molly and Husk's wedding, the first of its kind between an angel and a demon. Alastor is there, not only to immortalize the event on his show, but also to sway Angel's opinion on marriage. Angel, who only recently got out of one soul-binding relationship, isn't eager to enter into another so soon.
Written for the Egg-Splosion 2024 event and inspired by art from the lovely ornithia.

“Angel,” Alastor said, interrupting Angel’s train of thought. He had steepled his fingers together, bringing them to a point beneath his chin in a paroxysm of seriousness, but given that he was still grinning ear-to-ear, the effect was somewhat ruined. “I don’t mean to sound critical but I’m not sure this demon hellspawn can be trusted.”

In another world, Angel's first meeting with Valentino might've gone over very differently. In this world, he has Alastor, his guardian angel, watching over his shoulder. And Alastor isn't sure he likes what he sees.

“So what I’m hearing is that my wonderful little brat needs to turn around and bend over with his hands against the wall and his dress around his waist. And I need to undo my belt and make good use of it by ensuring my adored cannot sit comfortably at dinner tonight.” Alastor spoke so steadily and sure of himself that it almost didn’t sound like a threat. It wasn’t puffed full of intimidation, it was smooth and calm. A promise, a clarification. “Is that right, darling?”
“No, Sir,” Angel answered, now fully sounding as breathless as he felt. “I’ll be good,” he promised, his desperation seeping into his voice.
Alastor gave his a disbelieving look. “Somehow I doubt that.”
