Despite the levity of his words, there was a thread of actual guilt woven in bright neon embroidery. But Donnie hadn't said anything on purpose, and Leo had passed all his classes this semester and deserved to go out and have fun.
"Shut up." Donnie provided that absolutely ground breaking reply without so much as lifting his head.
"I actually can't shut up. Like, legally. It's kind of like that movie Speed, except if I stop talking I'll explode. Woah! Hey, look, that's our house. Wave at me from the window?"
Donnie tried to listen hard enough to pick out the sound of a Ford Focus pulling up to their curb through the hum of late-night New York City traffic. He did not get up and wave at the window, because that would involve moving, and Donnie had decided he wasn't doing that anymore.

“No, you don’t get to be worried about me! Not now, when you’re the entire reason I’m even here in the first place! The reason Ahsoka is here!” Anakin seethed, his voice infinitely stronger than it had previously been. “I don’t want to hear anything from you, Obi-Wan! Gods, I hate you so much!”
“Why are you yelling at Master Kenobi? He hasn’t done anything to deserve that.” Ahsoka paused for a second, before a wave of anger fell over her face. “And why are you bringing me into this!?”
It hurt that she was angry with him. All Anakin ever tried to do was look out for her, and make sure that she would be alright. Sure, maybe the way he went about it wasn’t the best, or very thought out, but he was just thinking of her safety, and shouldn't that be enough to write off everything else?
She just didn’t get it. Neither of them did.

OR, while on a diplomatic mission on Tatooine, Anakin gets in his head about protecting Ahsoka from predatory forces, however, that leads to him ignoring everything plaguing him, including the fact that his brain thinks those same forces are still after him. It all culminates in an awful breakdown that Obi-Wan has to pull him out of, in the same way he always has.
