She wanted to get up and leave. Go home and hide under the covers for rest of her life, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t physically as she was in too much pain to even move. Logically, she knew she needed to go to the hospital, so home wasn’t even an option. But something else was bothering her; she felt her dignity being ripped away.
Stella had worked for years to build up her badass reputation and she didn’t want one night to take that away from her. The people at Med would see this, the people at PD would have to work on it, and the people at 51 would hover and worry. They wouldn’t ever leave her on her own again.
