Castiel Novak's life was shot to hell about 8 months back and he's just been trying to cope with the fallout ever since. It all comes to a head when his best friend signs him up for more than he bargained for in an attempt to get him to relieve some stress and cheer up when they visit the set of his favorite tv show while they're filming. Panicking, pissed at Meg and slightly embarrassed (try highly mortified) after he nearly knocks down the stars of the show (which include one, handsome and charming, Dean Winchester, who he doesn't have a crush on, all right??) doesn't even begin to cover how he feels right now.

Summary

While Dean fully intends to stay a free-wheeling bachelor forever, Sam is desperate to find a match before his time runs out. When his brother is paired with an unlikely angel named Castiel, Sam is thrown head-first into a world of archangels, love letters, and an alarming amount of vests. However, as he gets closer to a particularly charming archangel named Gabriel, he starts to doubt the system. Hijinks include Gabriel in sock hop garb, spying on Dean and Cas, way too chipper Samandriel, creeper!Michael, and Gabriel and Lucifer fighting over Sam's pretty face (sort of).

I'm autistic and have headcanoned Cas as basically autistic for years, so I got really excited when I found out Autistic!Cas fics were already a thing, but I couldn't find any Megstiel ones so I had to write my own. My autistic Cas is basically Steve!Cas except he was never an angel in the first place. This is my first AU fic so let's see how it goes!
Cas has a safe, predictable, manageable life working in a convenience store and living in his own little apartment. Then he meets a girl who is anything but safe or predictable, and his whole world changes.
