Summary
Two years Eiji was gone with barely a word sent back home to his mother. Two years of her son’s life that Hiroko will never know.

Ash Lynx is already dead.
(except he's not really because this is my fic, and I say Ash lived; welcome to my post-series "Eiji's Mom Meets Ash" fic)

Lance honked his horn. “Keith, get your bitch ass in my car before I run you over.”
“Sorry my dad taught me not to enter strangers’ cars.”
“You’re gonna get sick standing out here just get in.”
Keith cupped his hands around his mouth. “HELP!” he yelled. “I don’t know this man! He’s trying to kidnap me!”

Summary
He could roll with the worse of them, could stare down the strangest things anyone could come up with.
He was all-around pretty chill, alright? He was reasonable.
When Lance found himself rattled regarding an Annoyingly Grizzled Older Keith Kogane, he listened to the uneasiness in his chest.
It took him a while to parse out what exactly was setting the alarms off in his head.
Sure, it had been a weird deca-phoeb for them.
But Keith left for the Blades and came back different.
And Lance had a couple Big Problems with that.
***
When Lance noticed that Keith has begun to act uninterested in his normal antics, he does just about everything he can think of to get a reaction. Chaos and an understandable amount of angst comes from the miscommunication that follows.

Summary
Keith tries to deal with being the leader, and also tries to deal with his feelings about Lance. It's a process.
Keith looks up and sees Lance staring at him, head tilted at an angle. His eyes are just barely visible through the visor, but his mouth is twisted into a puzzled curve.
“Sorry,” Keith says, flushing. “Lost in thought.”
“You okay?” Lance asks, falling into step alongside him as they follow the others out of the ship.
