Your breath stinks,” she scrunches her face up in faux disgust and he laughs and it’s a deep golden sound. That washes over her like the early morning sunlight filtering over their bedroom.
“Well I just woke up,” he says, his voice incredibly fond. He’s gazing at her sleepily and he’s smiling this stupid little dopey smile and she’s a little bit obsessed with him.
“Then stop trying to kiss me,” she laughs when he puckers his lips again and nudges him away with her hand.
“But you look so kissable this morning,” he groans, planting a quick kiss on her nose. He’s so incredibly close that they’re sharing a pillow despite the bed being king sized. They’re laying legs intertwined with her hands in his soft hair whispering to each other.

They huddle together around the napkin, elbows bumping, giggling and tipsy. Katniss isn’t sure if it’s just the alcohol that has her throat dry, heart thumping and stomach dancing around. She thinks it might be the way his hair seems to glow in this light creating a soft golden crown. She thinks it might be the way she’s close enough to see a light smattering of freckles across his nose.“This contract declares that…” She begins writing in her most dramatic voice and swirly handwriting.
“Peeta Mellark.” Peeta says.
Peeta Mellark her brain latches onto his name and spins it around in her mind, imbedding it deeply.Peeta Mellark the boy who brought bread to a party.
“Peeta Mellark owes Katniss Everdeen an endless supply of cheese buns on the grounds of her being the greatest person alive.” She ups the flare of voice knowing she sounds utterly ridiculous and finding she’s too drunk on Peeta and pineapple fruit punch to care.

Tedros, Agatha, Reaper and a bubble bath gone wrong

“Reapers not evil.” The useless defence of her cat comes out on instinct knowing that Reaper and Tedros are long decided enemies who tolerate each other on behalf of Agatha but she can’t help but hope that one day tedros will look into reapers’ snake like eyes and feel love for the hairless,scraggly, violent animal.
“He’s out to get me, Agatha, I just can’t prove it yet and well satan cat knocks the rest of the bottle into the bath and before i know it the bubbles are just growing and growing. At this point I'm fearing for my life. I mean death by bubble will definitely be the most embarrassing of all my deaths.” Tedros' voice is somehow both light and distressed and he looks almost genuinely shaken by his run in with bubbles, reminding her wet dog which just had an unappreciated bath.
“100% very embarrassing. I would be ashamed to be your widow.”

Tedros, Agatha and a late night baking expedition
“How much flour should I add?”
Tedros shrugs. “I don’t know a good amount.”
“Wow thank you so much Mr ‘let me handle this’,” Agatha responds sarcastically, shaking what feels like too much flour out of the bag and into the bowl.
“Were married so that would make you Mrs ‘let me handle this’ so you just insulted yourself then,” he says extremely smugly as he haphazardly chops the chocolate into chunks.
“Fine, then I want a divorce,” Agatha says flatly, throwing a handful of flour in his face.
“WHAT?” Tedros gasps barely registering the flour, “Don’t say that, are you crazy?”
He crosses his arms and pouts at her his face-covered in a light dusting of flour. He looks ridiculous. Ridiculously adorable.He’s clearly unimpressed with her but she can barely hold in her giggles.
“Oh, is something about our failing marriage funny to you Agatha?” He keeps trying to act mad but the quirk of his lip and the softness in his eyes betrays him instantly.
“Absolutely hilarious, but I think you have something on your face…” She says breathlessly before dissolving in laughter again.

Ekko does.
The hands have stopped completely.
He feels like his heart is stopped too.

“Stopped time, yes,” Jinx says, like she does this every day. She walks back to the ledge and sits down, dangling her legs over the edge.
Ekko shakes her head. This makes no sense. But then again, not much does with Jinx.
“For how long?” He asks.
Jinx shrugs. “No clue.”
“What????”
“I said, NO CLUE,” Jinx yells the last part, like she’s worried he didn’t hear. “Now are you coming over here or not?”
