Kalego stares at the goose, the goose stares back. He then notices the small tag hanging around its neck, the words “Soulmate Goose” imprinted on it.
Kalego took one look at the tag and immediately cursed. He’s heard the rumors. Kalego knows of the weird mythological creature supposedly hailing from the same world as humans who would show up unannounced and push two, sometimes more, unsuspecting souls together. Still, he hadn’t expected it to happen to him.
After all, Kalego was destined to be alone. He didn’t have a soulmate, or at least, he was certain he didn’t have one before a loud cackling creature busted into his bedroom that morning.
