this is genuinely one of the best fan fictions i’ve ever read. The way character relationships and how Marigold sees and feels the world is just incredible. It feels so REAL even if it’s just words on a page

Once upon a time, You had everything.
You were born into a loaded family that would have taken you anywhere. It goes without saying, anyone in their right mind would have stayed, At least until college.

At fifteen, you chose to leave the security of your family’s wealthiness, and to this day you have no excuse for your actions.
You just left it all behind, building a new life for yourself in Ebott City, a place known for its Monster population.
It was a dangerous life, the one you created, but you loved it anyway.
You fight for money under the table at an illegal combat ring called The Grounds. The boss cared nothing for your lack of credentials and embraced you the first day you showed up, begging for a job.
It’s been quite a few years, thousands of bruises, hundreds of scars…
And still, you wouldn’t change it for the world.
