Summary
”Fascinating,” Cazador murmured, more to himself than to Astarion. “Even now, your response to pain is indistinguishable from a living person’s. Your body recoils. Your voice strains. Do you even understand why you feel it?”
Astarion clenched his teeth and snarled. ”Because you made me this way.”
“No.” Cazador’s tone was patient, almost indulgent. He leaned closer, his cold hands pressing against Astarion’s chest panel. “I gave you the capacity to simulate pain. You, somehow, turned it into suffering. Why?”
Astarion hated the question. He hated the answer even more. “I don’t know.”

Summary
Written for both the Wyllstarion Secret Solstice and the bg3 kinkmeme, exploring a rockier beginning to Astarion's relationship with the Tadfools, and especially the handsome Blade of Frontiers. When the shadows close in and Astarion finds he cannot trust any of his companions, what is a vampire to do?
~*~
In retrospect it was a very stupid idea to try a little taste of the dead woman, the one who'd perished by the overturned caravan. For one, the single swallow Astarion had managed hadn't even tasted good. Her blood had spoiled after the long hours spent baking in the hot sun.
And of course he'd been caught. Like the fool he is, fangs out and dripping with the putrid blood in plain sight of the handsome Blade of Frontiers.

Summary
Fresh off the Nautiloid, Astarion suffers from refeeding syndrome. At least Wyll's there to help.
~*~
Astarion's gut wrenches. "Then what am I to do," he says, panicked. "Wyll—I can't go on like this, every day it's harder and I'm so hungry—"
"I know," Wyll soothes. "We'll help you, Astarion. I'll help you. You just have to take it slow, very slow, and let your body adjust to fresh blood again."

Astarion smirked. His voice entered Wyll’s mind.
“You’re cute when you’re ill.”
“Not sick,” Wyll mumbled, swallowing thickly.

Wyll wakes up in his bed at the Elfsong Tavern with a terrible fever. He takes it predictably badly.

Summary
In which Astarion is an ex-olympic figure skater and Gale is a famous musician. They get paired together as Dancing on Ice's first ever same sex couple. Shenanigans ensue.

“How did you even get in? I very definitely remember locking up.”
“Ah,” Gale looks ever-so-slightly abashed. Only slightly, though. Mostly he looks a little proud of himself. “You know how the receptionist is always asleep?”
Astarion's eyebrows shoot up.
“Gale Dekarios, you shady thing.”
“I only borrowed it! He's just never been awake enough to ask about spares, so. It was easier to just sort it out myself.”
“It would have been easier to ask me,” Astarion points out.
“Mmmm,” Gale hums, doubtfully. “I don't know if I'd ever consider you the ‘easier’ option, Astarion, I feel that would be doing your commitment to cantankerousness a great disservice.”
I'd be extremely easy if you weren't so fucking annoying, Astarion thinks.

Summary
Astarion has spent more than his fair share of time in and out of hospitals and emergency rooms, and one thing is always guaranteed : no one knows what to do with him. He's used to being misunderstood, questioned, and flat-out accused of lying or exaggerating.
But he's sick. He knows he is. He just doesn't know why.
Dr. Gale Dekarios has always loved a challenge. A chance encounter with a beautiful - and mysterious - patient leaves him thinking about the man for days, and when the man appears in his office a week later, Gale is determined to find the answers he deserves.
A story about being seen, being cared for, and falling in love.
