Viva rolled her eyes, choosing to be the first to speak following yet another unnecessary silence. “I thought you didn’t like it when I was wrapped head to toe in wrapping paper, Clay…”
“Same with you, Branch,” Poppy added.
Or: Branch and Clay get Poppy and Viva back for wrapping themselves in wrapping paper and asking them to unwrap them by doing something similar. Except with bows instead of actual wrapping paper.

“This one is for you, Clay,” John Dory said, gesturing to the Viva shaped present.
Floyd pointed at the Poppy shaped present. “And this one is for you, Branch.”
Or: Floyd and John Dory help Poppy and Viva wrap themselves up in wrapping paper to look like presents. It doesn’t go the way they thought it would. Nor does Clay and Branch’s plan to get back at them in return.

Julieta looked up from her novel to see how her youngest daughter was doing...only to then frown in concern. From what she could see, Mirabel seemed to be squinting at the pictures in her book and she constantly tried to move the book closer towards her face. Julieta stood up and walked over, kneeling down beside her youngest.
In a tone of worry, she asked, "Mija, are you alright...?"
Mirabel pouted and shook her head as she squinted up at her mother with clear tears in her eyes. "No. Everything's too blurry!" the four year old mewled.
