    Note: The title Serpent’s Poison was inspired by the biblical imagery of a venomous tongue, a potent weapon of malice and deceit.

    Serpent's poison, unseen, subtle, and insidious, serves as a fitting metaphor of the veiled and indirect style of communication prevalent during the Regency era.
