Summary
After the Elder Brain is defeated, Omeluum and Blurg return to the Society of Brilliance in Baldur's Gate, as they have many times before. Nothing is as it was. Dead bodies litter the streets. Buildings lie damaged or destroyed. And, of course, something has shifted between them, spurred by Omeluum's two-week captivity in the Iron Throne, and neither of them know how to address it.
When they enter the lodge, they find not the comfort of routine, but their colleagues lying dead in the aftermath of a bloody slaughter. Even more concerning is the glowing portal in an upper-floor bedroom, beyond which a young githyanki stands lost and alone...
