Think about Regulus joining the Death Eaters, or of him seeking Andromeda instead of Sirius in his last minute on earth. Perhaps think about Sirius mourning Regulus, and of James mourning the two of them. Or maybe think about the late night talks between Remus and James, and of Lily patching them all up until she couldn't. Even just think about Peter saying goodbye to the ones he'll ruin, or of Harry on his trespass to ruination.
Think clearly, just like they never did, before unveiling their veiled emotions.

Based on the scene where they are looking for Balinor and must sleep in an inn. Something is clearly bothering Merlin and Arthur tries to get it out of him. As he is doing so, he confesses something.
