Fluff. I often let Lestrade take the emotional lead--even if he's not the experienced player on the gay team, he seems likely to be the more experienced player in total, and by far the more at ease with romance. But there are good reasons to play it the other way around a bit. So this story mixes it up a little. Mycroft may not be a pillar of swaggering male confidence, but he's definitely a bit more together about this than Lestrade...poor behbehs.

Summary
This story is in honor of that gleeful little bounce Mark Gatiss gives Mycroft as he dismounts his treadmill in "The Sign of Three." It alters so much of how one imagines Mycroft to understand he's got that kind of laughing, frivolous, delighted, spontaneous joy in him. I was wanting to do a different kind of story--a story where there was "love in a single second" but not "love at first sight." It occurred to me that Greg could know Mycroft for decades and still never be allowed to see that skip...and that a man who already knew Mycroft very well might indeed fall blindingly, suddenly in love if that one detail were added.
Hope you like it. I just needed something happy tonight.

Ok.
For once in my life I wrote KINK. It's kink. Do not mistake me. It's graphic, and it's kinky. It's consensual that involves two people intentionally toying with non-consensual, roleplaying sexual kidnap and Stockholm Syndrome sex.
That is kink, and I ain't-a gonna suggest otherwise.
It's also, as usual for me, just not quite normal kink. I can't get kink right to save my life, so near as I can tell.
Mycroft. Lestrade. Sexual roleplay, consensual kink, creepy as hell, more than a bit graphic. Story would not work at all as my usual tactful vanilla, I guess.
I am still not sure if I want to post this. Deletion is a possibility. This is just SO not my norm. Consider yourselves profoundly, extensively WARNED.

Summary
Greg. Mycroft. First...encounter. Aftermath.
Exploration of a particular kind of power dynamic...fairly benign. Not a power-kink story, IMO. Loving, being loved, making oneself vulnerable, making oneself willing to bear the burden of letting someone else be vulnerable. The cost of accepting your partner's fragility.
Some people love so deeply, and are so vulnerable, only the strong should risk it.
Emotionally pretty steamy. Graphically probably no more than soft-porn at best.
