Summary
The man in question is still standing there. Atsushi has enough sense not to make any sudden moves, as he knows fully well of Osamu’s former position as a Port Mafia executive. Atsushi detests the idea of suspecting him, but Osamu doesn’t know him. He could be armed and empty a magazine’s worth of bullets into him at a single wrong move.
Well, not that it would be a big deal, but Atsushi doesn’t exactly like the idea, unsurprisingly.
“Sorry. I don’t really know where I am,” the younger Osamu finally replies, a hint of false mirth in his voice. “I’d introduce myself, but you seem to be awfully familiar with me, using my given name and all of that. So, I’ll say this instead,” he says, turning to look Atsushi in the eyes –
“Who are you?”
Atsushi has always wondered what Osamu was like in the Mafia.
Now, he gets a chance.

Summary
You must learn to endure pain, Atsushi's headmaster tells him, over and over again, even though the man is no longer here.
Atsushi begins to inflict pain on himself, even though his ability does not allow the wounds to linger. He knows he'll be caught--it's only a matter of time, when he works for the Armed Detective Agency, but he can't stop himself. He does it anyway.

Summary
Horror formed in the pit of Dazai's stomach as he watched Atsushi’s hands transform into claws. He watched as those claws started dragging bloody caverns down the hollows of Atsushi’s throat.
Still, Atsushi was screaming, even as Dazai ran forward. The boy had flinched at his touch but now Dazai had no choice, trying his best to ignore the painful twist in his chest at Atsushi’s pleading cries to please please, don’t touch me. Don’t touch me. Don’t touch- as he slapped his hands around Atsushi’s claws, activating No Longer Human without a second's delay.

“Who am I?” Dazai asked. “Who am I to you?”
“You’re-” Atushi faltered, “You’re Dazai Osamu, leader of the Port Mafia. You’re my boss,” there was another pause, “And you’re supposed to be dead.”

Summary
Dazai finds an angel dressed in a Sailor Venus outfit on a high-rise rooftop in Yokohama.
“You’re beautiful,” he says to the boy lying face-up in a thick bed of snow. The freezing night air has leeched color from his skin except for the strawberry-red splotching the underside of his exposed limbs and the purple-blue staining his fingertips.
“Would you do me the honor of committing suicide with me?”
Spectacular heterochromia saturates Dazai’s world, and all he can think is, burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.
His angel with firework eyes shrugs thin shoulders, all bone white and blue like a bruised moon, and wearily sighs,
“Yeah, sure. Why not?”
OR
Dazai and Atsushi meet, dance, rob a department store, and jump off the bridge together. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
As Atsushi begins to pull his hand away, Dazai lets out a soft, disgruntled noise and catches his wrist, pressing Atsushi’s hand to his cheek.
“Dazai-san?” Atsushi whispers.
“I’m cold,” Dazai murmurs, his voice barely audible under the blankets.
Atsushi’s heart clenches. “I brought curry. And tea. They’ll help warm you up.”
But Dazai doesn’t seem to hear him. He nuzzles closer into Atsushi’s hand, his eyes still closed, his voice drowsy and distant. “Atsushi-kun is warm.”
Dazai is sick. Atsushi is warm. The situation spirals out of control too quickly for Atsushi’s liking.
