Summary
"And now we're caught between the real thing /
and nothing at all."— "Honest" by The Band Camino
Achilles inhaled sharply beside him. He must’ve registered it, too. All five of them watched in silence as Achilles leaned in closer—
—and then the video cut off, right there. Dead silence filled the room.
“You kissed him?” accused Thetis as she whirled on her son, anger painting her features. “And you let someone get that on camera?”
After both Achilles and Deidameia get caught "cheating" on each other, a plan is formed to save both of their reputations and careers. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this plan includes the fact that Achilles and Patroclus are required to pretend to date, at least until the whole situation blows over. But when does faking become the real thing?

“Don’t die one me, Pelides,” a voice says, stern and strained. “Don’t you dare, do you hear? Just stay with me, okay?”
He knows that voice.
The light is taken away, and he is met with amber eyes, a worry etched permanently inside them. It is the color he sees when he closes his eyes. It is the color of warmth, of safety. Of home.
How did he get back home?
