He very suddenly smiled, a sickly saccharine thing, and kept eye contact with the man as he tilted his head. Wilbur hated the spotlight, but he loved to dance.

Tommy clenched his jaw, struggling to maintain his composure. The weight of unspoken tension pressed down on him, and the words escaped him before he could filter them.
“We are in the Antarctic, Your Majesty. It would be strange if we weren't feeling the cold," Tommy retorted, his tone sharper than he had intended. Philza's eyes gleamed with amusement as his uncanny ability to read between the lines was put to use, clearly deciphering Tommy's underlying frustration and finding a twisted sense of joy in it. It took all of Tommy's self-control not to storm out of the room right then and there.
Aka - Princes Tommy and Wilbur are taken to the Antarctic Empire to talk surrender after losing the war. Somewhere between dealing with the loss of their kingdom, internal conflicts, unwanted instincts, old habits and the Empire itself, they’ll find family.
Probably. Eventually. As long as Philza doesn’t kill them for looking at his kid the wrong way first.

Phil rolled his eyes and stretched out his arms as he watched the pair talk, a frown etched onto his face. Okay, scratch that, this kid was actually the one that owed him a new car - a debt he would never collect on but would allow himself to grumble about when he had to pay out to get a new one. It would be nice to be able to blame a stranger this time.
Aka - Phil is in a car crash, caused by a boy with blonde hair, which he somehow survives.
Well, one of those things might be a little inaccurate.

She might be free now, but she’s still a Pearl, was built to carry things for her Diamond, has both the impulse and the capacity engrained deep in her Gem. It’s only proper, therefore, that she be the one to bear the burden.
And it’s telling herself this that Pearl slowly bends down, and, one-by-one, levitates each bubble into her Gem.
After the War, Pearl bears burdens—literal and otherwise.

Pearl has changed somehow, and no one can place what is different. They know this happens from time to time, that Pearl often disappeared within herself, but it has never been this bad. It has never been biting back tears while cleaning everything again and again and again. It has never been small, delicate fingers gripping around a sturdy arm, fear in all parts of her physical form. It has never been an absence of self, a lack of personality, a distinct move away from reality.
They want to ask why, they want to ask what happened, but they don’t know how to identify it. It’s not any one thing. It never has been. It has always been something that is hard to put a finger on. It’s just gotten so much worse.
Garnet can't see a future where things end well, so she decides to take matters into her own hands.

“Um- the shiny thing on your kitchen windowsill, what uh- what is it?” Tommy managed, the thing was practically calling to him, what was some dumb human family doing with it though?
“Oh, that’s Wils, normally he’d be wearing it though,” Phil replied, furrowing his brow in mild concern walking over to the thing, Tommy trailing behind.
Being closer Tommy could see it was an emerald hanging on to a string of twine held by a gold bail, Tommy could feel the magic gently dancing off the gemstone, similar to how his earring acts as his glamour. Is that what this is? Why would a human need one?
AKA, Tommy is placed in a human Foster home temporarily but it do be a little suspicious
