Jayce pulls him up till he’s sitting, bringing him to his chest and holding him closer. It seems cruel to think of separating, even by an inch. “I love you,” he says, because it’s true. Because Viktor needs to know. Because the words have been trying to burst from his throat since the minute they woke up. “I should’ve told you before we- I mean. I should’ve said. I didn’t want to die without you knowing. I don’t know why I didn’t. I love you. I’ve loved you.”
Viktor lets out a choked gasp from where his head is buried in the crook between Jayce’s neck and shoulder. “What?”

Summary
Between deep desire and mild embarrassment, Phoenix’s face flooded with heat. He shifted a bit in place, before a reflexive hand found the back of his neck.
“Yeah. Sorry. I just...uh...Can I ask you something?”
“Of course,” Miles said without hesitation.
But Phoenix paused in turn. He looked off to the side, but could feel grey eyes on him, gentle yet expectant. Before the anxious tension could peak, and before the salacious tension could wane, he forced himself to speak once more.
“Would you...mind if we tried something different tonight?”
After sticking to a routine in the bedroom, Phoenix and Miles decide to change things around. Despite the initial hesitance, the initial apprehension, they meld together far better than expected.

Summary
Phoenix Wright had slept in many places at Miles Edgeworth’s apartment. The guest bedroom, the master bedroom–even the bathroom, that one time (that had been a very rough night)--and, of course, the couch.
Much like the man himself, that couch was a beautiful work of art. There was no other way to describe it. Unassuming on the outside, maybe even a bit stiff and old fashioned (matching the decor of the rest of his apartment, of course, with all due respect to Edgeworth), but on the inside? On the inside was something brilliant.

Featuring one lighthearted story and one a little less so.Goofy little writings surrounding one central theme--that theme being: Miles Edgeworth's couch, lmao. I really appreciate small snippets of domestic life and wanted to write about some of them :D I also thought it might be fun to take something relatively uninteresting and tie it into a few little stories to connect them!!
I also think that Phoenix Wright, iconically overworked and undercompensated, would highly appreciate an expensive couch
