Summary
After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.
Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.
Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.
So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?

“On second thought, everything is decidedly not okay, and I’m blaming you for it Wade.” While Peter was mostly joking, the situation was far from ideal, and he was a little irked at his friend for having been the one who got them into it in the first place. But rationally he knew, the device had malfunctioned somehow (maybe it was the busted microwave resistor? The transformer he’d taken from a busted up lamp? Who knew, the options were endless really), and now they were trapped until Peter could find some way to fix it.

The thing is, Jason was more of a parent towards Damian than Talia ever was while he was at the League, so it only makes sense for him to call the man of 'baba'.
The bats don't expect Damian to call the Red Hood of baba right in front of them when he won't even call Bruce of 'father'.
