Summary
Buck was starting to wonder if he would ever truly find himself. After years of job searching and soul searching and experiencing all that life had to offer, he’d thought he’d finally answered all the questions about himself and his identity; thought that he knew who he truly was, inside and out. And then one stray comment from Tommy while they planned their wedding had left him reeling back into the whirlpool of confusion.
If, at the age of twenty-eight, he was still questioning his identity and his place in the world? Then would he ever truly find an answer?
“Do you want a Jewish wedding?”
It was a simple question but, unfortunately, it didn’t come with a simple answer. Was Buck Jewish? Technically, yes. Did he really do anything “Jewish”? Not really. So was he Jewish enough to want anything Jewish in the wedding? And if so, what? And if not, then how much longer would he call himself Jewish before abandoning that culture for the easier, secular one?
Yeah, not an easy question to answer at all.

‘Ran into’ was more literal than she would have liked—Nancy had been minding her own business, going on her usual run down the block and around the corner to the right of her apartment building. Mateo had come from the other direction, and the two runners, both with their music plugged in, had turned their respective corners and had crashed into each other, both of them knocked down to the pavement.

Owen hadn’t seen his son in eight years; not since Gwen won custody of him in the divorce and disappeared from Manhattan all together. She hadn’t left a forwarding address, a phone number, an email—nothing. She was supposed to, and Owen reminded the judge of that when he couldn’t find TK for his court mandated weekend, but the judge had simply shrugged and said that it was a police matter now.
It had been a police matter for the last eight years, until CPS had called Owen themselves.

Amelia had always known that she was severely underpaid, but today was definitely the icing on the cheapest of cakes.
She’d only been working as the receptionist at Durand Elementary School for two and a half months, and already she’d dealt with more Karens—and whatever the non-female equivalents were—than she had in the three years she’d spent as a receptionist at a hotel.
And this couple were a sharp reminder that not everyone was as wonderful and welcoming as the community in which she’d found herself.

Summary
It had to be from Buck—Eddie was the last person to go and all the others had been revealed. Some of the gifts had been fairly thoughtful: Hen had gifted Bobby a blank cookbook, insisting that he craft a Firehouse 118 cookbook; Athena had gifted Chimney a few records from older bands the Korean man loved; Eddie had given Hen a fake certificate for “one free night”, offering to take Denny and Nia so that Hen and Karen could have a date night.
Some of the gifts had been humorous: Bobby had given Maddie a collection of journal entries detailing Buck’s more ridiculous moments from before she’d moved to Los Angeles; Chimney had given Buck parodies of some of the many movies the younger man had yet to see; Maddie, in the vein of embarrassing Buck, gave Athena a slew of pictures of Buck from when he was a child, promising the accompanying stories over cups of coffee.
Buck’s gift was the last to be given and Eddie was the last to receive.

Sabito survived final selection by making a deal to become a demon and fake his Death. He was made to swear to a demon not of his world that in exchange for his life he would have to slay all the evil demons he came across but not without judging their morals first. After 6 years of training (and being adopted by said demon after it takes a liking to him) and slaying demons he decides to hunt down his old childhood friend, but havoc breaks loose when another hashira discovers him first
This may have veered off the line into some major Renkaza vibes but I swear it's for the plot!

Summary
It was a routine mission that really shouldn't have developed into a situation. So of course it developed into a situation. But to be fair, how was Kyojuro ever supposed to predict a Blood Demon Art that could transform him into a cat? But it's fine, all he has to do is get to Shinobu and surely she can fix it.
He did not plan on running into Akaza, or to find out that Akaza has a soft spot for cats. He definitely did not plan on Akaza deciding to keep him, and tell him all about the wonderful slayer he adores.
Honestly, becoming a cat has become the least of his concerns.

Summary
During Akaza's fight with Kyojuro, he manages to bleed into his wounds. However, it's such a small amount, neither of them notice. Weeks later, Shinobu is surprised and concerned by how quickly Kyojuro is recovering, and Akaza is confused by the new mental connection he seems to have.
It doesn't take him long to realize that not only did he accidentally turn Kyojuro, but for inexplicable reasons, the transformation is so agonizingly slow, the slayer hasn't even realized it's happening yet, leaving Akaza torn between telling him the truth to brace him for it... Or letting him live the human life he so desperately wants for as long as he still can.
