It happens faster than Hemlock expects. A gentle lift, and suddenly she’s airborne, cradled in his arms. Her heart races, instinct screaming for her to pull away, but a quiet part of her revels in the sensation of safety, however fleeting it may be.
“Hold on tight,” he instructs, his breath warm against her ear, reminiscent of soft sunlight breaking through a storm. She clings to him intuitively as the world tilts, “we’re getting out of here.”

Or at least he thought he had been until a girl comes climbing out of a tree to sit beside him with an uncanny persistence to be read to. What starts off as a peaceable afternoon reading in the dying light quickly spirals into a story of books, bored Masters of Death, and a love story that might, just might, rivel Beren and Lúthien’s.
Because who else would ever match the Eldritch horror that is Hemlock Potter’s than Elrond Peredhel?
Or; the fic where Sauron gets punched in the throat, Elrond is forced to read Fifty-Shades of Grey, and Middle Earth is never going to be the same.

It sounds like the start of a bad tavern joke, but when it came down to the Girl-Who-Lived, it’s pretty par for the course for Nínimel Potter.
