Summary
“I need to save them all, and I think I know how to.”
—
Max Caulfield is your average, normal citizen. She lives a simple life, has a decent paying job, and—despite her loneliness and her “forgetfulness”—a pretty good life all things considered.
But her whole world is flipped on its head when she runs into an oddly familiar stranger who seems to know her. It’s up to her and a few new yet familiar (and very pretty) faces to figure out what the hell is going on and what exactly is happening to her.
And to figure out who the hell Max Caulfield was before she came to L.A.

Summary
A smashed Polaroid camera.
Carefully, she brushed away the glass shards—likely from the shattered lens—surrounding it with the back of her hand and gently grabbed it. It was newer, nothing like any of the older, dirty cameras that were littered throughout the junkyard. Not to mention it was a Polaroid camera, and there weren’t really any abandoned Polaroid cameras in the junkyard.
The only Polaroid camera that she knew of, actually, was Max’s fancy one.
Wait.
Max’s Polaroid camera.
—
Chloe and Max go off searching for an “artifact” that Frank had hidden in the junkyard so that Nathan doesn't get to it.
Something is… off.

Summary
“Hey, doll,” Dana grinned, leaning against the door frame with a twinkle in her eye and a sugary smile that put all the world's candy to shame. “I’ve heard from ‘round these parts that you can’t sleep? That true?”
Max rolled her eyes, but a smile still tugged at her cracked lips. Dana was still a massive dork, despite what she tried to tell Max consistently.
“I literally texted you, dork.” She signed, waiting patiently as Dana processed what Max had said.

Max can’t sleep, so she texts Dana to see how she’s doing at a Vortex Party. Turns out, parties are lame and cuddles from your girlfriend are so much better in Dana’s rightful opinion

Summary
Rachel was supposed to be at rehearsals, though judging by her discernible appearance it had either been canceled or she skipped it to see Max.
A bitter and insecure and honestly shameful part of herself believed the former. She didn’t think of herself as someone worth skipping a rehearsal—which was a part of something Rachel loved with her entire being, acting—for, which was a sad thought to have considering they were dating. Maybe she should address it, try to talk to Rachel about her venomous self hatred and how she genuinely thought that Rachel was better off without her.
But that lump formed in her throat like the last few times, and she found herself unable to voice those concerns.
So instead she gave the warmest smile she could muster at Rachel's greeting and responded. “Hello, Rach. What’re you doing here? I thought you had rehearsals until six?”
—
Max doesn’t like dealing with her feelings of inadequacy, it was always messy and complicated and she could never find the correct words for how she felt. If she pretended everything was fine, she’d be alright. Her and Rachel would be alright.
Right?
