Summary
Jotaro is stuck. As a single, technically unemployed PhD student, his chances of gaining custody of his daughter are slim to none. Having a partner, particularly one with a stable job, would be just what he needs to convince the judge. In a fit of desperation, he calls Kakyoin with a proposition: marry him until the heat dies down.
Against his better judgment, Kakyoin agrees.

"Talk to me." Kakyoin's voice is smooth and relaxed. He shows him compassion and companionship, more importantly - he offers him friendship. Sometimes, Jotaro takes the risk. Other times, he keeps to himself. He thinks this is one of those times.
"No, thanks." He can hear Kakyoin sigh, and suddenly - the spot beside him feels cold. He can only hear his footsteps ring in his ears. Jotaro, for the first time, stares back as Kakyoin leaves. He longs for him, but he won't run after him.
