This was the worst thing she’d ever done to him. “You’re planning to throw yourself into a den of seven thousand vampire spawn!”
“There’s one thing I’ve left unfinished," Naeve said, continuing as though Astarion hadn't spoken. "We released thousands of spawn into the Underdark, and my guess is that they need help. My help. Our help, maybe.”

Summary
When two soulmates meet, they remember their past lives together slowly but surely, until the past and present blend into one perfect union. With mutants, this also often affects their powers, suppressed until they connect with their other half.
Erik has spent his entire life hoping and trying to find his soulmate, in part because he wants to find out what his gift is, but also because he wants to find them.
Charles has absolutely no interest in meeting his soulmate, or dating them afterwards if he’s so unlucky. He is a scientist, and the concept of a dated match is anything but.
When they meet at a cafe, their understanding of soulmates, their powers, and themselves will all be challenged. The only question is if they face the challenge together or apart?
