The woman-stranger’s jaw drops open like a fish, then snaps closed as a self-satisfied smirk spreads over her features. “No, but you’re doing a bang-up job trying to get us there.”
or: rio's home for christmas and accidentally flirts too hard with a woman in the grocery store. it only gets worse from there.

“Carl isn’t Señor Scratchy anymore,” Jen corrects her, sipping her drink. “He didn’t like the new costume. Said it was too soft for his alpha male image,” she adds, rolling her eyes.
“And who’s behind it now?” Rio asks, curiosity starting to take over.
“Oh, there’s a whole mystery about his new identity. Nobody knows who’s behind that mask,” Alice says, her voice slightly slurred from the alcohol.
“Nobody?” Rio asks, her expression skeptical. “That’s impossible.”
“I don’t know who’s behind it, but whoever they are, they’re definitely making the furry rate go up,” Jen says, making Rio and Alice chuckle.

Señor Scratchy is the bunny mascot at Rio's college. When the old costume is replaced with a new, fluffier one, Rio becomes intrigued by the mystery of who’s hiding behind the adorable mask.
