Summary
Stoneridge is a small but very picturesque town on the edge of the state. Surrounded by majestic mountains to the north, icy ocean waters to the west and impenetrable forests to the east, it is safely sheltered from tourists and GPS.
Mickey Milkovich is a twenty-four-year-old rancher at Stoneridge, which he inherited from his late aunt. He cultivates cornfields, rides horses and sometimes, in secret... has serious conversations with his dog.

Ian Gallagher is a twenty-two-year-old veterinary school graduate who has decided to break away from his large family and the chaos of the metropolis. In search of himself and his destiny, he will set off down the southern road, which will lead him to the place that will become his home.
