Summary
Optimus would never let a mech suffer in captivity, Decepticon or not. Blitzwing is not an exception, no matter how confused that sentiment makes him.
Optimus is very much grateful for his morals forbidding him from mistreating prisoners of war when he himself is later captured by the Decepticons.

Blitzwing's stint in Autobot captivity opens optics on all sides, and something new blooms.
