Summary
Brief moments from Sharpe, based on Bernard Cornwell’s novels and the UK television series starring Sean Bean. Each fic is built around either a detailed and faithful transcript of a live action scene, or a selected part of the text from a book. In general, therefore, any dialogue in a transcript fic belongs to either Cornwell or the show’s copyright owners, as does the plot and action, and I use these as a foundation and framework upon which to layer my imaginings regarding the thoughts, memories and motivations of one or more characters.
I would not presume to rewrite Cornwell, so in the case of book-based fics, my purpose is normally to look at a scene from the point of view of a different character to that presented in the book. Ordering within the series is chronological in terms of Sharpe’s life, but each story stands alone in its own separate universe unless otherwise specified.
