Summary
“You’re 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵?!"
“Pregnant, Mycroft. Pregnant.” Anthea Hughes, his long-suffering assistant and second-in-command, said in a tone of utter bemusement.
He should have guessed, he thought savagely. Yesterday for lunch she had a scotch egg slathered with sriracha hot sauce - hardly a conventional choice, and not the type of thing Mycroft Holmes would usually miss.
“My replacement.” Anthea slid a worryingly thin dossier across the desk.
“I suppose she comes highly recommended?”
“Not really.” Anthea sniffed. “She’s inexperienced, poor, and a bit annoying, to be honest.”

Summary
The Ministry is being infiltrated by Death Eaters. Elodie Merriman cannot keep to the plot she remembers from the books anymore, nor does she want to. Not if it means losing the men she loves.
Elodie's relationship with Sirius is as secure as it can be, especially since Sirius knows that Remus has no intention of being in a relationship with anyone, thanks to his lycanthropy. When an unexpected event brings the necessity of Remus and Elodie pretending to be a married couple, the strain brings on new feelings and old fears.
As mentioned on part I (A Solution More Beautiful), on its face this is a Book Fan Wakes Up In Book World story. Inside, though, it’s a rich celebration of the adult characters in the books, with a trip through a slowly altered canon as the main character seeks to change things in a way that doesn’t get herself sent to Azkaban.
Note: story is on hiatus for a bit; also wanted to be clear that I find JKR's views repulsive. These characters I care about are the reason I still write in 'her' world at all, but I feel certain she'd hate what I've done with it :)

Summary
It was an odd circumstance, to say the least.
Hermione Granger wakes five years after the war to a baby crying outside her door. The note was as unusual as the circumstance but apparently the child is hers. Worse yet, the person that claims to have been an older version of herself said the baby's father was someone near and dear to her heart.
Will she tell him? What will happen to her life?

Summary
Hermione Granger rarely felt lost. On the contraire – she usually knew what to do, even if others didn’t. She was the one to come up with brilliant ideas, or to figure out a way to escape a dangerous situation. Even still, when it came to love and all the things revolving around romantic matters, she was utterly clueless.
Maybe if things were different, she would have acted differently. She could have pushed him away, or simply stopped this ridiculous game they were playing. But she did no such thing. Instead, she let herself fall deep into his trap. And boy, she fell hard…
